What are plasmacytoid dendritic cells?

pDCs are a rare type of immune cell that act as potent modulators of immune response. pDCs are best known for their extraordinary ability to play the role of “commander in chief” in the immune system by activating other immune cells.

What do they do?

Conventional lactic acid probiotics can activate certain types of immune cells, such as natural killer (NK) cells or macrophages. However, they cannot activate pDCs which direct and order an array of other immune cells. It was previously thought impossible for any lactic acid bacteria to activate pDCs. Through the priming of these critical immune cells, Immunoflora proactively supports the body's appropriate response to immune challenges.

How does Immunoflora work?

While most immune defense products only partially activate immune cells, LC-Plasma activates pDCs, which in turn activate critical immune cells for comprehensive immune support.
